The major projects of Changzhou Hi-tech Zone bear fruit again. On October 15, Givaudan Flavors and Fragrances (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. held an opening ceremony in Changzhou Binjiang Economic Development Zone. Swiss Consul General in Shanghai Zeng Liwei and city leader Hang Yong attended the event.
Givaudan and Changzhou High-tech Zone signed an investment agreement in 2016 to invest 100 million Swiss francs in the Changzhou Binjiang Economic Development Zone to build a project with an annual output of 38,000 tons of flavors and fragrances. This is the largest investment project of Givaudan Fragrance and Beauty Division in China so far. The foundation of the project was laid in October 2017, and it is planned to build the largest factory of the group in the world.
At present, the project has been successfully put into production. Changzhou has thus become an important base for Givaudan's development in China. Givaudan's Changzhou production base adopts highly automated advanced ingredient technology to reach the highest global standard for daily flavor manufacturing. It mainly produces daily flavors, dental flavors and microcapsule flavors, and is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of more than 1 billion yuan.
It is reported that Givaudan Group is a leading company in the global flavors and fragrances industry, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, focusing on the production and sales of edible flavors and daily-use flavors, with business covering all important markets around the world, with a total of 73 production bases and approximately 15,000 Employees.
